How can I find a LOST endowment ?

I am hoping someone on this site can help me.
Back in 1992 I was a newly divorced young woman & I was fairly clueless about money(financial wisdom and maturity hadn't yet kicked in). I purchased an endowment policy/mortgage when I bought my new home. I bought this from my uncle who worked for Cannon Lincoln because I felt sorry for him & he needed the sale. I paid £53.41 a month on the endowment for 5 years & then I sold my house & moved. I sold it for the exact same price as I paid for it and in 5 years had not paid any of my mortgage off. There was no cash return on the sale. I recall asking about the endowment - was told it was worthless & so asked no more questions. My uncle is now a long time dead. Roll on 20 years, & the endowment has never crossed my mind. However now I have hit upon tough times again & I am wondering whatever happened to my 5 years of endowment payments. They certainly didnt scratch the sides of my mortgage. I understand Cannon Lincoln no longer exist. Q: Does anyone think my funds still exist and if so - what should I do now?

There will be next to no value even if you can track the funds.
I believe Cannon Lincoln were acquired by SunLife.I am a Mortgage Broker

Do you still have any of the endowment documentation? Did you receive annual statements for the five year period you paid the premiums?"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0
