    Bump - anyone?
  • i've been with Blackhorse for over a year now and i've had no problems at all.
they accepted me and i had a couple of defaults and 1 ccj.
They seem ok and don't offer you more than you can afford, also they haven't sent me loads af rubbish in the post offering more loans which i thought was good.
Just give them a ring they do all the talking so its not to bad.

My local Branch is excellent - In my case they have offered more than I can realistically afford, but a bit of self-control and that is not a problem. They have given me a very good deal, and the staff were very helpful. That was a loan, and yes, they keep sending me junk in the post.

My husband and I used blackhorse finance a couple of years ago. We had a loan from then but when we wanted to repay the balance it showed we still owed almost the same amount we had originally took out in the first place.

    Hi,

I went with black horse when i was 18 ans that was 5 years ago. i didnt have any problems with them. As long as you can prove your income etc you should be ok.

Also i have hand about 6 loans from them all repaid early and settled and never missed a payment.

Tried getting another loan yesterday BUT WAS TURNED DOWN!!!!!!!! EEK!

They did a credit check and because i have moved to an address that had previous bad credit from a previous tenent i think that has declined it. (Well i bloody well hope so)

I asked why have they turned me down when i have had loans from them before and they could see i was a very good customer. They said i would have to get my credit report. So applying for it on monday!!!

You will only know if your accepted if you go through the application with them. Its either yes or no.

    Good Luck xx

I would say they're pretty good. They are more personal than most lenders as they don't look at computers....just their own records. If I want a loan, I go there.

However....borrowed 10k from them last year, and this year asked for a settlement figure. It was 11k. This was because the APR was high (I had a business deal going thru and had to get whatever). So watch out for that. That's why they're so friendly after all! (Although I often wonder why banks offer loans to poor risk customers with high APRs. Surely it just makes it more likely they're going to default?)

One other thing is make sure you say 'NO, no, no' to PPI.

    I stupidly didn't.

You say yourself you're in arrangements with a couple of creditors. That may well be the reason.
