When mortgage decision goes to appeal

Options
Hello one and all.

My husband and I are FTB, and after securing AIP, our mortgage was declined. To cut a long story short, our broker believed it was worth appealing the decision. We will find out by Monday (23rd October).
My question is - should we be telling the seller who accepted our offer?
Our broker (independent) is looking at other mortgages that may be suitable should the appeal be unsuccessful.
We now understand the stress and anxiety that this process can offer a person.

Thank you in anticipation for any helpful comments.

No, it's none of their business.

    Nor will it achieve anything.

    I agree with Thrug.

Leave it to the Broker. It will most likely be resolved by 5pm Monday.

  • I am in the same situation at the moment, I am very stressed and anxious about this and won’t know until after Xmas. Natwest wanted to see 12months continuous work history. Provided two contracts from two separate jobs. I was just waiting to submit a letter from my third job, so now it looks like I have had 3months with no work but on my bank statements there are my wages going in. I hope my appeal goes through but do not know what the chances will be ahh.
