My son swears by Aldi steaks. Says they aren't full of water like Asda's

I love Asda steaks and think Aldi ones are dreadful, isn't it funny how we are all different ;)

I bought one yesterday, usually I'm rubbish at cooking steaks but this was delicious.

I bought 2 fillet steaks that were marked down 33% as a treat. To say they had the texture of stewing steak would not be exaggerating:(

I'd simply given up buying steak, having been repeatedly disappointed, even when I'd bought them from specialist butchers.

Eventually I was persuaded (partly by posters on here) that it would be worth giving Aldi's a try - and I am delighted that I did. I only buy sirloin and in two years or so I have only had one that wasn't excellent. Why the likes of Tesco, Sainsbury's and the rest can't get up to Aldi's standard I do not know but, in my experience, they either can't or won't.
