Remortgage. Is this right please?

Hi,
We've recently applied to remortgage our house, we owe £46,897 but want to add 10k for home improvements. The forms for us to sign have come and it says the sum of £57,158, why is it not £56,897 ? It was a fee free plan(also paid another payment since).
My husband has rang them and they say it's interest but on the form it says our first payment would be £442 because of interest? Followed by payments of £368.. if this is right they will be charging us around £320 interest for 3 weeks (last payment to new payment)
Does this sound right to you and I'm just being thick! Lol

It’s interest due to your current lender.

As above, it is interest accrued between when you last made your monthly payment and when they ran a redemption figure on their internal system.
