I can confirm this as being in store - albeit in the recent past.
Last week (Thursday?) Preston Fishergate PoundLand had an aisle of 2.5L Dulux tins at £5, only about 4 colours (a blue, a green, a cream, and another). Didn't see them today when I was there.
Hit and miss I think, don't make a special journey to PoundLand.--- Warning: Grumpy Old Man in Training ---0 -
Oh I agree.... but there was a pallet load in south wales store today with more arriving Friday so not just a one off. Colours I saw cream green blue and a greyish***avid money saver***0

It might be a statement of the obvious, but these things are so heavy it makes sense to find a Poundland with a car park on-site. My nearest is in Becton.
Prices at B&Q vary from £12-14 for 2.5L pots. It’s been a long time since I’ve painted...how far does one pot cover nicely? A 10’ x 8’ room, perhaps?Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

I'd be using two 2.5L tins to do a 10 x 8.--- Warning: Grumpy Old Man in Training ---0 -
I've needed 2-3 tins for each of the bedrooms in my house. Average sizes. It's easy to find a calculator online to help you work it out. It also depends what colour you're trying to cover, whether you need to water it down to go over plaster etc. I just use white for a couple of coats, if I'm putting a lighter colour on because it's way cheaper. Then 2-3 of Dulux on top.
I always end up with a bit over, but keep it for touch ups.Minimalist

Well I popped into Galleons Reach for exactly this purpose today, and was disappointed. There were 2 tubs of Apricot White (one of which had clearly been opened and returned by another customer), maybe 10 of Natural Calico and a load of Lakeland Blue. HTH someone, if not saves them an unnecessary visit.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!
