Well we were looking at selling but our mortgage would trebble to got something only a little bigger so we are looking at extending.
Now we will need a further advance on our mortgage, how do we go about doing it? we are with the Halifax?what/if any info will we have to give them?
For information when we got our remortgage with them, as we were already bank customers and our credit ratings are spotless they remortgaged us without needing to see any accounts (hubby self employed for last ..4 years) all they needed was proof of address.
In light of the market right now do you know if they will require more than that?
how long does it take to organise an advance?
we have good equity in the house so the amount we want fits within this and we have worked out what we can actual AFFORD to pay based on our bills etc.
Thanks

Be aware that banks/b.socs etc are really clamping down on all applications for borrowing/credit/loans now.....and I don't imagine that they will losen up in the forseeable future.:snow_grin"Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow........":snow_grin0

They will want to know income and outgoings - and they may need some proof depending on how much you borrow again property value ect but may not
The arrangement fee is £299 - and you can apply in branch or over the phone0
