Out of interest, do they require references as part of their own incoming employment process?
Yes, our contracts state "employment is subject to satisfactory references & a three month probationary period".
I've had jobs where only dates & job title were confirmed (local authority), but not even that from this employer (small company of about 20 staff).
Amazing........good thing I'm no longer the job hopper I was when younger!Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.0 -
You just get someone you worked with to give you a reference. Preferably a manager but I did have a same level colleague once do mine.0
