oooo Irishmist - I love cashews but they're too expensive and very fattening, they'd probably not be bad if it was just a couple but I can never stop there!
Fell off the NSD wagon today and went for milk and kinda bought a wee bottle of wine so ended up spending £7.50 in total. this is why I usually have some milk in the freezer! will make sure I buy extra this week and try to knock something off the shopping tomorrow.Mortgage OP 2025 £7550/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

I SHOULD have gone to buy some milk, as well, and would, most likely have bought a bottle of wine - there are some EXCELLENT offers around at the moment. :T
Plus the fact that a bar of 'value milk chocolate' would, undoubtedly have 'homed in' on my trolley (I don't, for the life of me, know how it finds me - but it does. )
However, my son, bless him, went to make himself a cup of tea and, judging by the expletives, found the empty milk bottle in the fridge. I heard the front door slam and 'lo and behold' five minutes later he returned with a two pint bottle of milk.
Have to admit that I have always been under the impression that he thought that things like milk just miraculously appear in the fridge and don't need to be 'bought'.
Not only has he proved me wrong, but he has unknowingly 'given me' a NSD. :T :TI am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

That's it rog2 - I saved at least a pound by spending four....
I'm looking forward to DS being old enough to replenish stocks instead of just demolishing them. so glad he's in bed or I'd be off to buy some cashews to go with the wine!Mortgage OP 2025 £7550/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

I make Amy Winehouse look like.....erm...someone feeble to conclude this analogy
I could make some joke now about champagne habits on a beer salary!
But I wont.
I think you meant to say you make Amy Wino look like Bill Wilson... !!Student Loan Company Ltd: 17,805 (2.8%) Overdraft: 500 (Interest free)

I didn't do so good today. I'd budgeted for £2.15 (40p on a paper & 1.75 at my slimming club)
I spent the 40p, then spent £2.50 at the library on renting a DVD and reserving 3 books, then spent £5.95 at the slimming club when I saw they had a new recipe book (£2.95), 2 lots of cereal bars (£2.50) and a raffle ticket (50p)
But I did lose weight, and was slimmer of the week, winning a massive basket of fruit, so that should save me buying that at the weekend.[STRIKE]DFW Nerd number 729[/STRIKE]Debt Free & Proud0 -
Hey guys - just a tip - HUGE bags of cashews are only £2.99 in Julian Graves - the raw, unsalted ones. They're full of good fats and so long as you don't overdo it are perfectly good for you! enjoy! x0
