Yellow fever vaccine ?

My daughter has to have the yellow fever vaccine according to the nurse we saw today that can be done even as late as the day before travel . Having googled for more information that’s not the case it has to be at least 10 days prior to travel .
As this lasts for 10 years is there any reason why she can’t have it now for her January trip ?

Unless you need a yellow fever certificate the day before is fine, I had mine on the way to the airport when I went to Kenya!
But having it now is fine, especially as it can make some people a little peaky.0 -
I'd get it as early as possible as personally it made me really rather unwell for quite a while. Everyone will respond differently but just in case it does hit her hard it's good to have some time to recover.0

Over 60's can get an exemption certificate as it can be more dangerous to have a reaction from the jab than to get the disease itself, allegedly.Solar Suntellite 250 x16 4kW Afore 3600TL dual 2KW E 2KW W no shade, DN15 March 14

but I think that is if you have never had the vaccine before.Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

Out of interest what malaria meds has she been prescribed? If it's Larium I'd suggest she goes back and asks for an alternative. Best case it causes horrific nightmares, worst case it can cause psychosis. Different malarial medications are given for different areas, but there should still be alternatives.0
