New Home - Best time/place/way to buy Sofa and Dyson handheld

Hi All,

Can anyone give me any good advice for getting a good deal on a sofa and cordless vacuum cleaner? My partner are just buying our first home (maisonette) together and looking to save some money but still get quality items that will last. Default option is to wait until Black Friday.

SOFA
We don't have much space for a sofa and would like to have friends round so thought the Tromso corner sofa bed from M&S would be perfect. (I'd post a link but can't because I'm a new user).
- we can wait until after black Friday as we're not due to move in until the 1st/second week of December.

Vacuum cleaner
I've always wanted a handheld Dyson. There may be other equal/better alternatives out there but I know if I went for one I would just wish I'd bought a Dyson.

Any other suggestions other than waiting for Black Friday to get one? I'd like a V8 Absolute for the extended battery power but appreciate that may still be too much but I think the V6 absolute or fluffy would work just as well for what we need (hard floor mostly with carpet in 2 bedrooms and 3 flights of stairs)
- Would also consider reconditioned ones if the price was reduced a fair amount. I don't know if that's advisable considering they have a battery though?

Sofa - usually there is couple of weeks waiting time?
There will be a lot advert before X'mas showing what on sales and deliver before X'mas. I guess the price are high now as they want to 'discount' them at black friday...
