Hi maypole,
If the trousers are machine washable, squirt some washing up liquid onto the stain, massage into the fabric, and then wash in the machine as normal.

Hello pink-winged
Thank you for that, the trousers are now in the wash, however I used star drops as opposed to washing up liquid, I will let you know the result.0 -
Oh dear, the stain did not come out with Star drops, think the trousers will have to be relegated.0

Sorry to hear that maypole. Did it fade at all?

hello Pink
No fading, just the stain still there, never mind eh!0 -
Try dabbing it with Oil of Eucalyptus avalable in chemists, wash as normal and then putting on the line in the sunlight.0
