Hello all,
I am looking for some advice.
My partner and I would like to apply for a self build mortgage, he has a good credit history however my credit file is a mess from being irresponsible a number of years ago.
I have a number of defaults and two satisfied ccj's.
We have £200k cash and require a £200k mortgage to allow us to buy a plot and build.
Does anyone have any experiences of successfully obtaining a self build mortgage with bad credit and ccj's?
Or should we give up on the dream??
Thanks in advance.

Could be options available to you. Not many active lenders in self build, but your broker will need to be doing some solid research to ensure an application would actually go anywhereI am a Mortgage Broker.
