Hi Everyone
We are looking for a broker but not sure who to look for.
Had previous problems with debt but cleared all in full settlements when recieved an inheritance.
Hubby has one CCJ which falls off his file in March 2018
We both have credit cards in their limits..I have one late fee on mine...
There are no other debts
We have an annual income of around 90k
But our mortgage will be around 10 - 12 years
We have 20k deposit
Looking for a broker to advise us on next steps really...someone to look over our files...check our deposit then advise on who to see in regards to a mortgage in principle
Thanks

Hi,
Indeed a broker will be able to help look through your files, discuss your options and next steps.
"Where to start looking for a broker?" has come up many times on this forum. Word of mouth / recommendation from friends/family/colleagues is probably your best bet. You can always just take a stab and contact people locally or based on a google search, the main thing is that you should find someone you trust and feel comfortable with as there will have to be lots of honest discussions.I am a Mortgage BrokerYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Jump on the internet and find some brokers, have a chat but I am sure you will be fine. Alternatively ask friends and family who they used maybe?I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Morning Sassy
Guessing your main concern is around the CCJ. By falling off, I'm assuming it was registered in 2012? If so, plenty of lender options.
Likewise with broker options. All above posts are valid at points to look for them. Maybe unbiased.co.uk as well. They will show you all locally registered brokersI am a Mortgage Broker.
