hi both me and my husband have egg loans with ppi we got these via the internet as already had an egg card. Now im sure that when we signed for these you could only get it if you opted for ppi (sure it said if you didnt require it you had to call them) well we never did stupid i know! can we claim back our ppi?
and does anyone know if what i think is correct??has anyone else took out an egg loan and had to puchase the ppi too?
thanks in advance

I think you are wrong.
I'm pretty sure that you have to tick a box to indicate whether you want the insurance AND that you read the terms and conditions to confirm that you were eligible for the cover.
You could cancel the cover now if you wished but your refund IMO would not be backdated.
I think a site like this would have cottoned on to the fact that if a reputable lender like Egg insisted on PPI we would have heard a lot more about it on here.
This is the first time I have come across this.
Even if it was the way you say it was then because you did not phone to cancel you have no recourse now.0
