Northern Rock problems

First of all, hello to you all.
I have been reading a lot of threads in the vain attempt at avoiding repeating one. I have had a few threads almost answer my problem, but nothing that is completely matching. Hence this post.
I have been in a DMP for 3 1/2 years with Payplan. I owe a total of 62K with all but one of my creditors being very well behaved and sympathetic.
Northern Rock on the other hand are the exception, I owe them 7.5k which is a little over 10% but are giving me 100% of the grief.
They have recently gone through the motions (funnily enough coinciding with their own recent problems) of rejecting my reduced payments and sending me a formal demand.
As I can not pay and have spoken to them about this, they say they are taking steps to secure the debt.
Today I received a letter from Eversheds stating that unless they receive full payment by the 11th they will commence legal proceedings. (the postal strike meant I have no time to get advice before this takes place)
If anyone can give me a hint as to what happens next, I would be grateful.
I have seen a bit about COs and would like to avoid this apparent trend in Hybrid CCJs.
If I have to go to court, what information do I have to provide? Do I have to attend?
I would ask Payplan, but they are getting difficult to contact lately and also they appear to be more interested in selling me something to the detriment of my creditors.
Sorry to be down on them, thay were very good through the early stages of my dmp but now they seem a little disorganised and difficulties are arising around the way they are sending my payments irregularly.

you need to get professional advice on this one, BW, if you can't get through to your contact at Payplan, or they're not cutting the mustard with the advice they give, then I'd say go to National Debtline or CCCS for advice instead
I have heard of Northern Rock going for these hybrid CCJs before to get a charging order, and if they *do* go that far, I'd definitely go to the hearing with as much info as you can muster to show to the court that NR are being unreasonable in not accepting the reduced payments - the SOA you drew up with Payplan, schedule of how money is being split between your creditos on the dmp, any letters you have from other creds accepting your payment offers etc
