Mortgage on a house with off grid services

I've seen a house for sale that is an half finished project, it's an old country house with land that has no mains services except electricity, sewage is a septic tank, gas will be an lpg bulk storage tank supplied by calor or flogas.
The main problem is lack of water, it used to have a bore hole in a neighbouring farmers field but this as dried up, it's too far from mains services to have water connected, if i installed a rainwater harvesting system with underground water tanks and filteration system to clean the water to supply the house, will a lender give a mortgage on such a property if i wanted to sell the house in future.
I don't want to buy a house that i can never sell again if i don't like living in the country or just want to move further down the line, any advice very welcome....thanks Jack

No mains water is a problem.
We have done lending on spring fed homes but gathering and processing rainwater sounds a little too far for a Lender to go.I am a Mortgage Broker

Private supplies aren't too uncommon, do lenders have a problem in principle with those? I've not encountered rainwater gathering before though.0
