thank you for your thoughts and suggestions fatbelly (seems so rude to be saying that...)
i concur, however £255 is better than £10,000.
in order to propose a defence i need to know exactly what i am defending against, which at this juncture remains a mystery.
i have decided to redefine how i approach this matter. i spent the weekend feeling quite distraught at the prospect of having to cough up such a chunk of money.
i have decided to view it as an adventure. it may well seem odd, however it doesn't affect the outcome and helps me to deal with the uncertainty of what the future holds.
i really don't like that scared feeling, so if i re-define as having an adventure then i deal with excitement rather than fear. physiologically they feel the same, so i may as well minimise the negativity.
it certainly wouldn't help my case or my sanity to stay in a scared place.
i feel quite invigorated at this moment and believe that whatever this sum is for is fictional and therefore will be defend-able.
hopefully the judge agreed a set aside based upon the fact i have no knowledge of the case nor any ability to read about the case as the files are archived.
they certainly cannot make a guided judgement without the information in front of them.0 -
update:
the judge granted a hearing, the date has not been set, i still haven't seen any paperwork but the writ has been put on hold for the moment.0
