No experience of that hospital i'm afraid, but i'm a MW, and procedures tend to be universal. Most of the bookings are now done by your comm MW (at your GPs), and then depending upon whether you will be a consultant / shared care (MW and hospital), or MW only, then you will have a first appointment at the hospital to see the consultants team. The main thing is having that first booking in appointment at the MW clinic at the GP surgery - she can then just ring up the ANC at the hospital to get you a first appointment and tell you there and then when it will be.

    Hope this helps

Ask at the surgery to book into the booking clinic that the midwives run there. They should have one. If you are getting no joy, then ring the maternity dept at the hospital and explain the situation. You should have been seen by a midwife by now - you would have been if you were one of mine.

thanks inkie. i phoned the hospital and they said they sent me a letter bout booking in but i must not have received it. it is end of october. also phoned docs they say they dont do booking in there. luckily i have already had a scan anyway at the early preganncy unit due to a car crash so i know everything is ok but it seems a bit worrying that some woman arent getting to see a midwife until they are 14 weeks!!
