Mortgage offer question

Finally got our mortgage offer today with Barclays after 6 weeks since application went in. A bit confused as first time buyers reading through the offer it says to clear all debts within 30 days of completion, we have no debts as paid credit cards off. Does this mean we would have to wait for a while before getting things like the flooring, new furniture etc? As planned to get some on finance. It’s for a newbuild so just wondered exacrly what it means? Thanks

It may be a standard clause in their mortgage offers?
However it's never a good idea to take out any new finance until after you've definitely got mortgage and house has gone through, it's not worth the risk of them pulling the mortgage offer!Current Mortgage 01.10.17 £113,513.88
MFW Start Mortgage: £114,794.64
Current MED: 2036:eek: Target MED: 2026
Overpayment Target for remainder of 2017: £2,000
Mortgage overpayment savings: £684.80
