Help with Birthday Party !

I'm catering my friends 30th birthday party (for 50 people) and I'm having a hard time what to do/give people as they arrive.
I was thinking a glass of champagne with a strawberry or raspberry in it but that in the end will be too costly so anyone have any ideas ?
Oh and I don't want anything too complicated as I'll already be stressed with making sure the dinner/party food is ready

Cava is an obvious alternative if you want to give fizz - It is Spanish 'champagne'. Tesco's (own brand) is nice and is £3.50 ish per bottle. Remember 5% off for 6 bottles (which is probably about what you would need for a small glass each)
They also have a pink cava (usually) for the same price (saves you the extra cost of the fruit)
Other initial thoughts include a sangria type mix - or even a pimms can work out quite cost effective with a bargain lemonade - but both of these need more prep than just opening a bottle

When working in hotels, they always gave bucks fizz - it's not expensive and most people like it...also gives you a non-alcoholic option of OJ.....
