19" TFT Monitor £153 + VAT

Aria have a 19" Digimate L-1916D TFT with DVI for £153 + VAT (£179.78). I`am using one of these at the moment and can recommend them as great value even at the price I paid (£193). I think they even look look quite good particularly the L-1916D compared to the other digimate model. The 19" screen is HUGE compared to my old 17" CRT monitor. Also if there are any dead pixels on mine then I can`t see them.

I don`t think Aria`s stock will last long at this price.

I hope this is the link but I`m a newbie http://aria.co.uk/DealForToday.asp

And I also received a VGA and DVI cable as well as the audio and power cables.

Theres also good deals on Dell TFT`s.

  • Digitmate is crap, sorry to say that but my friend works in the supplier of PC components, they put a fake ISO label pretend it has ISO! it's cheap but dead pixel easily find out.

    money saving my @rse.
I've spent 10x as much as I would if I had never discovered this website :-)

These are still available for £153 + VAT, Amazon have them for £199.99 although they do offer free delivery compared to Aria`s £3.99 + VAT.

Here`s a link to Amazon theres lots of great reviews from people who have bought them.

I think kitkats opinion is not very helpfull, as of course there are better monitors but not at this sort of price. You could pay £400 for an Illyama and get a fantastic monitor. Or if you want even an better quality display stick to a CRT where the picture will be fantastic for less money.

Also I find Kitkats reference of Digimate adding fake Iso marks as highly dubious, I don`t think trading standards etc would let them get away with this.

When I bought my monitor from Aria 10/12 weeks ago, they had sold over 10,000 digimate monitors. This is hardly a quantity which could get past the relevant authorities with regards to ISO Accredidation/markings.

I also don`t think Aria would have sold this quantity if they thought they were of this low quality/fraudulent, purely in regards of the consequences for Aria financially in respect to returns.

In fact Aria will for 14.95 give you a dead picture policy where they will allow you to return a digimate monitor for another if there are any dead pixels visible. This is a great example of the quality standards that Aria have in thes digimate monitors.

did anyone get one of these? I'd like a 19" tft but I'd like to hear someone elses experience of this one before I buy. Although the price is very tempting :)

I think the ISO standard is bureacratic nonsense anyway. The CE mark is the important one.

ISO probably means they have lots of big forms to fill in.

This monitor has a native resolution of 1280x1024 - same as many 17" monitors. Does this mean that the pixel size is large (i.e. this has the same number of dots as a 17" monitor, just bigger ones)? Does anyone have any experience of whether this is noticeable compared with a 17" monitor?
