Hi all,
Just got a query about the tax relief on pension contributions.
I’ve got a workplace pension and I also pay into a private pension. I know I only get tax relief up to a certain figure but am unsure if that figure is just my contributions into both my work and private pension or does it also include my employers contribution into my work pension as well?
Many thanks in advance.

I think that your employers contributions count towards your total maximum contributionsNo.79 save £12k in 2020. Total end May £11610
Annual target £240000 -
Yes, all contributions count toward the total.0

The tax relief limit does not include employer contributions, however the annual allowance does. These are two completely separate limits with different rules. See https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/72827434#Comment_728274340
