Hi, very new to this forum thing so beg pardon if I commit a faux pas!
Would like some advice around Income tax. My husband retired from the Police Force in june 2006 with a full pension which is taxed using his personal allowance.
He subsequently commenced work in August 2006 via an agency and used the firm JSA managed services to deal with his salary (which in effect made him a ltd company) he paid basic rate tax for the whole period of the contract which ended in July 2007 and has not worked much since just the odd week here and there. Could he have over/underpaid income tax for this year?
Thanks in anticipation

If his pension takes him into basic rate tax by itself then any earnings from other sources will have basic rate paid on them (or higher rate if it takes him into higher rate tax).I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
