That s is the problem of many of the crash cheerleaders they want a mansion in a prime area they can never afford so they sit in their small crappy rentals and bedsits crying that an average terrace is beneath them.

Those homes are worth whatever people are willing to pay for them which is £120k for those homes in those areas. £120,000 for a 3 bedroom house is very affordable. A couple even on the min wage could clear the mortgage within 10 years. That's what people are doing buying houses and clearing the mortgages while you sit in a bedsit and year after year crying that prices are in a bubble about to crash 130%

    Good luck to you

How long have your two examples been on the market?
  • 1 went up in July and sold within a few weeks according to property bee, the other is unsold, it's been up 6 months.

Prices are definitely going to crash based on these findings.:money:

i was playing monopoly recently and i thought of you. i think a game like monopoly will really help you understand property dynamics and will reveal to yourself how much of a fool you have been. with your mentality you would never buy any property and build houses and will end up just collecting £200 when you pass go and pay rent to the other players until you go bust.

in short everyone like you should play this game as it will really open their eyes and see the truth instead of being blinded.

I'm not sure that's true. In Monopoly it's impossible to have property crashes where prices fall by 130%, so that people pay you to take them on. Nobody ever pays anyone to take on Mayfair, or even Old Kent Road. Crashy's persuasive arguments have persuaded all of us that a 130% price crash is in reality just around the corner. So clearly Monopoly is not realistic.

We are sort of thinking of moving to the Cumbrian coast and the value for money property there would make southerners weep, we have seen superb 2 bedroom cottages for less than 90k with little price movement in the last 10 years. I assume its because there aren't too many jobs available but thats ok as we don't work.

There are plenty of jobs in that area and some very well paid ones too. lot os people I know are on the 40-60k salary

All depends on which part of the Cumbrian coast you are thinking of.

I know the area very well and have lived there. PM me if you need to know more about it or any questions.
  • Crashy what is your new Crash Breakeven Point considering this new monthly movement on the Halifax figures? It can't be good for you or your long term suffering. At what point will you realise that you've been sold a turkey by loons like Bruce Spanner and The Count of Nowhere?

that is true, but he will still think they will crash and never buy and end up just paying rent.

Can you imagine Crashy, the Countofnowhere and other similar doomsters playing monopoly together, the game would take forever! It is a wonder that someone on HPC didn't invent a game of monopoly that involves house price crashes.

I guess they'd just go round the board never buying anything, getting £200 every time they pass go and cursing about banker thieves every time they landed on income tax.

    Sounds riveting.
