Newcastle’s The Botanist has declared Sunday the Day of Roast by unveiling a new Sunday lunch menu, and to celebrate, we’re giving one lucky Living North reader and a guest of their choice the chance to win a two course Sunday lunch plus a delicious Bloody Mary cocktail each. The brand new menu has been given an autumnal twist, with main course options including Rotisserie Roasted Ridings Reserve Premium English Beef served with homemade horseradish cream, Rotisserie Roasted Lamb served with home-grown mint sauce, and Rotisserie Chicken seasoned with piri-piri sea salt. Not forgetting the accompaniments, all roasts are paired with honey-mustard glazed carrots, braised red cabbage, tenderstem broccoli, roast potatoes, homemade Yorkshire puddings and rotisserie gravy.

Those with a sweet tooth can round off the feast with a treat to share in the form of Toffee Apple, Pear and Almond Crumble served warm with custard or ice cream. Alongside the new dishes, the Sunday institution of the classic Bloody Mary has been given a botanical twist and spiced to diners’ preferences, whether served classic, with Smoked Garlic and Rosemary or Red Chilli and Oregano.

• The prize includes one Bloody Mary cocktail per person from the Sunday Lunch menu.
