Lost pension funds

Please, please can anyone help
I have just discovered - due to me not notifying old pension scheme of change of address, that the scheme was wound up in2009 and all funds disperesed.
Is there anyway at all I can get any of my money

Who were the funds dispersed to?

My husband had a pension from a previous employer.

When he neared pension age he tried to trace it and found out the company had ceased trading any years before.

He did eventually find somebody on Facebook who had also worked there and had traced the pension funds. My husband contacted them and they confirmed that they had the funds and updated their records with his current address.

Phone the government pensions department. We did , very helpful and found pot we didn't know we had!
