Student loans no more

Ever since the student loan system started I have been moaning that it makes youngsters believe that debt is ok, whilst my old style brain thinks it is anathema. Plus it makes people from lower income families think twice about uni - as the first person in my family to get a degree I know I'd have thought long and hard about it if I had had to get a loan rather than a grant.
So kudos to Martin for getting it rebranded as a graduate contribution system, and explaining that it is effectively a tax scheme.
