Aside advising the OP to take a step back and gather up the facts before getting on her (his?) high horse and defiling the IFAs permanent record (and wasting his time), no-one's been able to give any [STRIKE]advice[/STRIKE] opinion of any value.

What a waste of time.
My opinion: I reckon you've got all your savings in a 0.1% HSBC Logbook account for nineteen dickety two :P.

How rude - Dunstonh and EdInvestor spend a lot of time on these boards giving opinions and often disagreeing with each other. Personally, I think they are both wonderful. Just to clarify in case anyone had got the wrong impression: I am not an advisor, independent or otherwise, just a private investor who has gathered some knowledge of the good,the bad and the ugly in the process of sorting out a fairly normal working life accumulation of financial products.:)

moonbeaver, we don't know the terms of the old and new schemes, like annual charges and range of investments available, so it's not possible to say if it was a good idea or not.

The compliance officer will not necessarily assist you. Some see their job as protecting the company, not making sure that it follows the regulations.
