in Cutting tax
Hi all
I am currently resident in the UK, spend just over 6 months a year there and spend the rest in Spain.
I want to spend more time in Spain but I want to keep my tax system in the UK. I am a PAYE employee for a small company who let me work from home. I do not want to change job, I love what I do.
I know many people who live in Republic of Ireland and work across the border in Northern Ireland. They simply pay their PAYE in the UK and don't pay anything to the Republic.
I want to do the same thing basically, but I wonder where I stand legally.
I can use my parents address in the UK and when in Spain I am staying in a rental property which has everything in my partners name.
Soon I will be looking to buy in Spain and staying there longer as Marriage and children is on the cards but not imminent.
I earn 48K a year, I have 26K in S&S ISA's I have a LISA opened (this contains Extra retirement savings as unlikely to buy in the UK)
I have no status whatsoever in Spain at the moment and do not know how to move forward. I would appreciate any advice you can give me.
