Is 1.55% as low as five-year fixes will go?

Been contemplating this as we want to lock into a remortgage deal before the best deals start to vanish - as the consensus appear to be that they will soon.
But then the big lenders often cut their rates towards the end of the quarter to hit lending targets, so it wouldn't surprise me if the Yorkshire BS's deal (which will probably only be on the table for another week or two) is bettered before Christmas.
Think we will probably go for it before it gets withdrawn as even if better deals do come out we'll only be talking a percentage point or two.
Be interested to know people's opinions?

    If rates reduce by say 0.2%, how much will you save?
    Unless you have a large Mortgage it is likely to be negligible. Is it worth risking something you are happy with for the sake of a couple of quid a month?

    You're asking that question on this forum!? These are people that pick up other peoples receipts in supermarket car parks to get 50p off their next shop. :rotfl:

    No, 1.55% is not as low as 5 year fixes can go - after all, the £1,495 product fee can increase forever.
