Civil Service AVCs Transfer to L&G

Hello,
An announcement was made today by the lady in our finance department who handles pensions. The Civil Service are entering a consultation period to move our DC schemes to L&G from Scottish Widows and other providers. This includes our AVC funds.
I had been thinking of transferring to a SIPP and either L&G or VLS, but this is an opportunity to avoid a bit of paperwork.
I was thinking this is a great opportunity to get into the L&G Multi-index funds...anyone else any thoughts?
