COMPETITION SPECIFIC TERMS AND CONDITIONS
These Competition terms and conditions should be read together with, and are in addition to, Bauer Radio Limited’s standard terms and conditions at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html (the “General Terms”). Together these specific competition terms and conditions and the General Terms shall be referred to as the “Terms”.
ITEM 1: COMPETITION NAME
“Gem’s £5000 Weekend” (the “Competition”)
ITEM 2: PROMOTER

ITEM 3: WEBSITE

ITEM 4: COMPETITION START DATE AND FINISHING DATE
Start Date and time: 2nd October 2017 at 06:00. End Date and time: 6th October 2017 08:30 Continuous until further notice. Any entries received before or after these dates won’t be counted but you may still be charged.
ITEM 5: ENTRANT RESTRICTIONS
Only open to people who: (i) live in the UK, and more specifically live in the East Midlands of England where the home address has a postcode beginning with LE, DE, NG, LN, NN or CV (ii) are 18 years or over at the date of their entry; and (iii) are not one of our employees (or living with one of our employees). You can enter this competition a maximum of 12 times per mobile number (including free entries) via SMS and a maximum of 12 times online. Entrants must obtain permission from the bill payer before texting to enter the Competition.
ITEM 6: ROUTES OF ENTRY AND COSTS
Entry to the competition is made by texting the keyword PLAY to 63103 or by entering at http://www.gem106.co.uk/grand/
Entries received before the Start Date or after the relevant End Dates will not be counted but may still be charged.
You are responsible for all costs associated with entering this competition. Texts cost £2 (from the UK) + standard network rate. You must have permission from the bill payer before sending. Online entry is free.
Once you’ve sent an entry text, you’ll receive an auto-response confirming your entry. You will then have the chance to text: PLAY to 63103, again (at a further cost of £2 + standard network rate) and you will be entered 2 more times – your ‘3rd’ entry being free.
ITEM 7: DRAW DETAILS
A draw will be made on Friday 6th of October between 08:30-9:00am. Any entries received post the 08:30 draw deadline maybe still charged.
ITEM 8: WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT
They will be contacted personally (as soon as possible and at least within 30 days of the end date) and also announced live on air between 08:30 and 09:00am on the day relevant day of the draw– in the event that winner cannot be contacted, the radio station will announce that detail also.
The Promoter will call the winner to speak to them live on air. If the winner cannot be contacted at that time, they do not forfeit their prize.
The name and the hometown of the winner may be posted on the Promoter’s website after they have been announced live on-air.
ITEM 9: PRIZE DETAILS
A single prize consisting of £5,000 will be awarded to the winner subject to the winner complying with all the terms and conditions applicable to the Competition. Prize money will be paid in cash, by bank transfer or by cheque but payment is subject always to the winner providing photo ID and proof of address. Our prizes are always non-transferable and (unless the competition is for a cash prize) cannot be exchanged for cash.
Payment can take up to 28 days.
ITEM 10: DATA PROTECTION
By entering the competition, you are automatically consenting to receiving marketing communications from us via SMS text message. You can opt out of this at any time by texting: STOP to 63103. This will be charged at your standard network rate but you will need to do this each time you text us to enter the competition. Your personal data will (regardless of whether you opt-out) always be used to process your entry. ITEM 11: INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND CONSENT
We will sometimes (at our discretion) telephone entrants and ask them to speak on-air. You have the right to refuse, and your entry to the competition will not be affected by your refusal. If you consent, your voice will be recorded and you consent to this recording being used on our radio broadcasts. You agree that we will own this recording and that a copy of it will be stored for further exploitation, which may include promotion. Whilst on-air, you promise not to make any statement which is offensive or inappropriate or which would cause us, or our listeners, harm. You will not be put through to speak on-air if we think you are driving, intoxicated, likely to swear, or otherwise offend our listeners.
ITEM 12: OTHER CONDITIONS
We will only accept entries that comply with our t&cs and we may disqualify you if we know or suspect that you have breached them. Our decision on the selection of the winner is final and we won’t engage in any correspondence or discussion about this or about the operation of this competition. We are not responsible for any network or technical issues you experience, such as latency of your mobile phone network, which may delay or prevent your participation. We have the right to cancel, amend, terminate or suspend this competition if forced to do so due to circumstances outside our control.
