Housing detaiks

I haven't shown the agent/sellers I'm buying from any photo ID or utility bills. They're definitely not needed, but maybe this agent/seller wants those.
They certainly haven't seen my proof of deposit. Actually currently nobody has. Not the bank I'm getting a mortgage with, not my solicitor and certainly not the estate agent!
I could offer without a DIP and solicitor details but they wouldn't take off the market until they had them to show it was all 'going ahead'
But then the house I'm buying didn't have rammed open house viewings... every sale is different. I personally wouldn't engage a solicitor until my offer was accepted0 -
Can you post a link to the property, or tell us the area?
I'm wondering if the EA is sensing your house buying newbiness and feeding you stories to get you to put in a high offer.0 -

Isn't that what the vendor(s) are paying the EA to do?
Buying a property is driven by personal choice. Offer what's it worth to you. You know the local market prices. Don't expect a bargain.0
