Flash Giveaways Terms & Conditions

Our Flash Giveaways take place over a single 24 hour period, starting at 08:30 and ending at 15:30 on weekdays and 18:00 on weekends and UK public holidays (I.e. Christmas Day, Boxing Day or Bank Holidays). Any entries made after this cut off point will not be counted. A winner will be selected and contacted by 23:59 on the same day the contest went live. We reserve the right to increase, decrease or cease the running time of the Flash Giveaways at any time and without notice.
In order to enter our Flash Giveaways, follow the instructions stated in the post (I.e. 'Comment below with your answer', 'Tell us your size' etc) to be in with a chance to win. We reserve the right to disqualify entries that violate Facebook's community guidelines. As of August 30th, we will be trialing the Facebook Contest App, which does not change the nature of the contest, it simply helps us to compile our answers.
Prizes are subject to availability and may be changed at our discretion. Wherever possible, prizes are posted on the same day as the contest ends, or on the next business day for giveaways that end on a weekend or public holiday. This contest is in no way sponsored or administered by Facebook. The information you provide will only be used for the purposes of the Flash Giveaway. All prizes are final, non-transferable and non-returnable.

For full competition terms, please visit our Terms & Conditions page.
OCTOBER UPDATE

Daily Flash Giveaways are being paused for October. In their place we will be hosting weekly bundle flash giveaways so you have the chance to win even more prizes! We wanted to do something special for Halloween. Not only are there more prizes but there will be more winners too with four winners per week being drawn.

• For our weekly Halloween flash giveaways we will be using the Facebook contest app so in order to enter you need to click ‘Enter’ on our contest. When you enter, your Facebook name and email address will be recorded. Winners will be contact via their Facebook e-mail address so make sure yours is up to date.
• E-mail addresses will be used for the purpose of contacting winners. By entering you are also agreeing to receive e-mail marketing from Blue Banana, as well as notifications of any future contests and competitions. Blue Banana e-mails can be unsubscribed from at any time.

Each week our bundles have a different theme. Details of the items included in the bundles will be posted on Facebook:

• 4th – 11th October Skull Bundle Giveaway
• 11th – 18th October Vampire Bundle Giveaway
• 18th – 25th October Zombie Bundle Giveaway

The existing rules for our daily Flash Giveaways still apply to the weekly bundles, with the exception of the time allowed for the contest. Each contest will begin at 11am and will end at 10am on the dates specified above.
HOW & WHEN WINNERS ARE CHOSEN & ANNOUNCED

Winners are selected using a random number generator (RNG). Each correct commenter is assigned a number (By our software) in sequential order when they post their comment. Once the contest closes, we enter all of the numbers into an RGN to randomly choose a winner.

Once a winner has been selected, we will then announce it in a comment on our Facebook page (Naming and tagging the winner - where possible) and send the winner a private message or comment on their entry to request their contact details for postage.

In the instance of us not recieving a correct answer (Or enough correct answers to correlate to the number of prizes on offer), we will post a 'Sudden Death' question in order for us to be able to give the prize(s) away. We will post the question, along with the designated rules (I.e. First person to respond correctly, first five people to reply with the correct answer, must reply within an hour etc) as a comment on the original post.
FAQ'S

Q: How do you send the prizes out?

A: We send out prizes first class, using Royal Mail (Or an alternative service to European winners).

Q: Why does the person who commented below me always win?

A: Although this may look like the person commenting below you always wins, this simply isn't the case. Due to an algorithm used by Facebook (Replies), comments do not appear in chronological order.

Conversation threads are reordered by relevance to viewers, and may appear differently to each person based on their connections, specifically:

• Positive Feedback: The amount of positive feedback based on the total number of Likes and Replies in a conversation thread, which includes Likes or Replies by the Page Owner.
• Connections: Connections to participants in a thread may move the conversation higher. For example, conversations with comments left by friends may appear at the top.
• Negative Feedback: The total number of spam reports in a thread, as well as marks-as-spam made by the Page Owner. We may also down-rank comments made by frequent spammers.
