Hi

My current fixed term deal is coming to an end on 31st Jan 18 with Halifax rate 3.24%. I have £140000 outstanding over 14 years property value is around £360000 so below the 60% LTV threshold. Does anyone have any advice on when best to agree my next fixed term deal? I obviously don't want to get caught out on any rate rise but am I correct in thinking that Halifax will only waiver the ERC within 3 months of the deal expiry?

Thanks

Jamie

I had a Halifax mortgage, and changed my deal with them once. It was very easy and online, no additional checks. It was 3 months term before I could change the deal, but I sugggest you check their site or call them as I did it 3 years ago. I remortgaged last year to Santander because they offered a better interest, so you may want to start shopping around.
