I am thinking of buying a watch with Hear Rate Monitor for my marathon training, i came across above, like the feature where you can download training data and analyze it on your pc!
Anyone has any recommendations?
cheers

This is a fantastic bit of kit. I bought one recently while I was in the USA (quite a bit cheaper than european price) and I am really happy with it. The accuracy is fantastic, battery life is good (rechargeable as well) and the software is really easy to use to analyse your performances.0

thanks mate, thats good news, can u tell me ho much u paid in the US for that, i guess i might be able to get delivered here if ordered via website?

This was about 2 months ago.....I paid $220 (about £115) through Amazon.com and at that time the cheapest I could find (in stock) in UK was about £200.
Now though, a quick search on google and you can find them for £139.99 - possibly even cheaper? Amazon.co.uk also have them at a good price.
Bear in mind that if you were to get it shipped from the US, then you would probably get stung for import duty....I've ordered a few things from the US in the past and it seems to be quite pot-luck as to whether you get charged import duties.
Happy running!0 -
thanks mate, cheapest i found is £141, not sure where you have seen for 139.99! I guess it would make sense to order from the local site rather than US, only to find out you get stung with import duties !0

Hello,
My husband used one to train for last years marathon. Asthmatic couch potato to marathron runner in one year. He swears he would never have done it without this piece of kit. he bought his through www.simplyrun.co.uk and said that they were able to answer all his questions and advise him on what he would need.0 -

Hello!
I have the Garmin 305 as brought it a few weeks back to help me with training for my first half marathon...which I completed last week...Yay me! Just wanted to say, it is FAB! Couldn't be without it now! You can program it to use a running buddy, which will beep at you if you are running slow! Has a shed load of features and takes a while to get your head around it, but it def. worth it! I know that the price is a lot...got mine from Amazon and it was delivered within a couple of days but it is so worth it if you are serious about your running.
