The selfish BBC TV Licence people will always use the excuse "Because it's the law so subsidise our channels" but lets be honest it's a bloody joke.
Also you don't have to let the BBC's SS people (Capita) into your house to inspect anything because they have no right to do this and it's been discussed in Parliament. Just don't speak to the scumbags and they have nothing on you. You'll find the only people who get into trouble are those who speak to them and sign themselves away

Apologies if some of this has already been mentioned...
Whilst the license is for BBC channels, you cannot watch any terrestrial, free view, cable or sky channels without a TV license.
If you decide to only use the TV for vids and DVDs however, you can email or phone TV licensing explaining this and they will update their records to suit.0
