should I contact the agency?

Hi,

I've applied for a job online that was just advertised yesterday. It's showing as the start date is 2nd October. As it's only a couple days until the start date, how long should I wait before assuming I don't get the job? Should I ask the agency whether I've been shortlisted or not?

Also, is there a way to unregistered yourself from an agency? I've registered and uploaded my CV online but these agencies never contact/send me anything, not even job alerts.

Thanks.

San

  • There's no harm in calling to find out what's happening.

If you want am agency to remove your details then they should be able to do this if you speak to them.
