    They don't say it directly. They don't say they didn't know about it either though - it's very vague.

    The second paragraph talking about insurance, "fair wear and tear" and the amount of damage on the car is what makes me think this way. If somebody is trying to get you to pay for something you know nothing about you simply deny all responsibility, you don't start quibbling about the amount and degree of damage and insurance.


    Ok, change of mind a bit. Its all over the place. Hopefully he can clarify.
