Car Parking in central Manchester
Hi
Just wondered if anyone knew of any cheap (and safe) car parks in central Manchester/Salford (ideally fairly close to the Lowry hotel), it would be for Monday to Fridays, normal working hours as possibility of a job there and just working out costs.
Thanks in advance for any info.

unfortunately the words "cheap, parking and Manchester" do not go together. The metrolink system is usually a better option.0

Theres a few car parks around that charge by the day and very near Lowry Hotel. Usually around £4 a day. Otherwise Park and ride at eccles interchange. What area are you travelling from ?0

bit of advice: DON'T park in Stanley Street (bottom of Quay Street (salford)..i know a number of peopl have got their cars broken into there. Some people park (free) at the retail park on Regents Road, then its a short walk to Quay Street, and about a FURTHER 10 MINS TO THE lOWRY,. yOU COULD OD THIS IF A) YOU LIKE WALKING ANDYOU ARE REALLY SKINT. cOURSE (oops, sorry) they have crackdowsns from time to time and you MAY get a parking ticket, but people say they save more on car parking than the odd ticket costs..
Just an idea :-)0 -
If you carry on along Chapel Street, after passing Lowry Hotel on your right go through two sets of lights. After the 2nd set there is a NCP car park on a corner on your right. DON'T park there but just on the left, in a railway tunnel, there is secure parking for around £5 per day. Very handy for Deansgate.Nothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0
