AFAIK the three year gives you a £10 discount.

A couple of days ago Southern gave me this code SOUTHERNSEP17 to use on their website for £5 off, but it must be used by 30th September.

Have you checked your local Council? Ours (Mid Sussex DC) used to give you a discount against the purchase. Don't know if this is a country wide offer (might even have been stopped by our Council as my husband qualified for a disabled Railcard about 2 years ago as he is deaf so he has that & we get reduced travel for both of us as I go as his carer!)
