Help getting myself sorted!!

Hi
I have been a member of this site since 2012 but have never done anything about the debt that I have incurred. I have now finally come to the conclusion that instead of sticking my head in the sand I really need to sort it out once and for all.
I have filled in the Step Change form online but it says that the best option for me is a debt management plan. Once I have paid all my normal bills (well those that I can afford to pay) and rent I don't have any spare cash so really can't see what I can pay off in a debt management plan.
I really want to get myself sorted out - my debts total around £12k and are various sorts of debts (credit card, payday loans, loan, overdrafts, water arrears, electricity arrears, etc). I am earning £8k less than I used to when most of the debts were accrued and just don't have any spare cash during the month to put towards debts.
I have toyed with the idea of an debt relief order or bankruptcy but feel that these are as a last resort.
I really just don't know the best way forward.
If anyone can provide any help, guidance or assistance - I would be very grateful.
Thank you.

The usual Stoozing.com SOA calculator is not working currently - MSE Andrea has posted a link to another one which may work in the Sticky threads though - get it filled in and posted here and let's see where you stand. You may have to do a straight "copy and paste" to get the information in here.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Hi
I’m sorry to hear you don’t feel the DMP payments we’ve suggested are affordable.
We always recommend creating an accurate budget first, so we can take all your living costs into account before suggesting repayments towards any unsecured debts.
As Debt Remedy has suggested you pay more than you can afford towards your debts then it’s possible some of living costs may have been underestimated or not included in the budget.
You can log back into Debt Remedy here to review your budget and update your living costs. After doing this Debt Remedy will be able to recommend a debt solution based on you making more affordable payments towards your debts. Or, if you’re not able to repay your debts Debt Remedy will be able to recommend solutions to help you have your debts written off.
If you get stuck or need any further guidance on updating your budget you call us directly. Our number can be found by clicking the ‘need help’ button at the bottom of the page in Debt Remedy.
I hope this helps,
LinsiHi
