    So this trailing month, I have paid £102.31 in interest charges on my mortgage.

    This will be the last year I will be organised enough to know this, so I'm making the best of it... :rotfl:

    What kind of mortgage is it, Z?

    My French bank, by the way, sends me a very detailed breakdown of each mortgage payment, and since it's repayment, I've watched the interest component plummet over the last few years, it's fascinating.

    Mine isn't quite that good. I have to log on after the payment has been taken, write down what's left outstanding, then subtract the payment, and the difference is interest.

    I believe it's supposed to be a griffin (it has wings, so it's more confident) but yes - that's it.
