Universal Credit and Conditional Job Offer

Hi everyone,
I'm currently on Universal Credit but have just been given a conditional job offer subject to references, DBS and a medical. There's no reason why any of these should cause a problem and cause them to withdraw the offer, but I am slightly nervous about telling the DWP about the offer in case it falls through for any reason. Plus there's the fact that I don't know my start date yet so have no idea when my first pay day will be. Basically I don't want to tell the DWP about the offer, have my Universal Credit stopped and then find myself either without the job or waiting a month or two for payday with absolutely no money coming in.
I know we're meant to report any change of circumstance straight away, and I totally understand that, but honestly I'm scared I'll be left with nothing.
I have a meeting with my work coach tomorrow. Do you think I should mention the offer? And if I do will my UC be stopped immediately?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

You can mention the offer or not, either way if you continue to fulfil your agreement your claim will continue. All that matters is that you continue to seek work until your job is definite (the day you start!).0

They don't stop paying you until you have income. So don't worry.
Suggest you tell your work coach.“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0 -
Thanks both, good to know that I won't be left with nothing. I'll tell my work coach tomorrow and then get in touch again as soon as I have an official start date. Thanks for the advice!0

Universal credit is an in work benefit. You might still be entitled to housing element if you are in work or UC depending on how much you are going to be earning0
