Female 30-somethings - where do you buy clothes?

Here's a few ranges that may fit the bill (not sure as I'm waaaay over the OP's age):
Joules
Fat Face
White Stuff
Mantaray0 -
H&M, Warehouse, Oasis, Next, River Island,
Sounds similar to Mrs G. Add in Gap, New Look, Topshop, Karen Millen, Jane Norman etc.
She probably buys half her clothes second hand from eBay.
She's not averse to hunting in the childrens sections either. If she comes home dressed in a Peppa Pig tee shirt, fairy wings and a pink tutu, I'll ask her to stop.0 -
Sorry, was not meaning to insult anyone ... I also still find clothes in the likes of Primark, New Look etc, but find that nowadays those stores are for the teens/20-somethings who want slashes, rips, plunging necklines etc ...!
I might have to start scouring charity shops. I'm a size 6 though, so clothes in my size tend to be few and far between.
I think my problem has been highlighted by the mentions of Cos/Coast/Jigsaw and the like. Yes, they have some amazing pieces, but way out of my price bracket!

I'm a couple of years younger and retired and in the last 6 months in one visit I bought some M&S nicks, jeggings and one of their 3/4 sleeve cotton tops which I think are good value. Plus, I bought my Umbro football boots for the new season from Asda, of all people. Earrings from the charity shop.:D
PS: wow, that is some good going, shipr!!!95. Now join a ladies' football team to really tone yourself up!
I have taken up running.... I do a park run on a Saturday as well as 3 x 3 1/2 miles during the week. I prefer to watch football (if you can call Leicester City football)Slimming world new starter 2/1/17

Zara, Topshop, Next, Primark, COS, H&M, New Look, Marks and Spencers, Seasalt. I find stuff I like all over and I take a lot of inspiration from youtubers, instagram, pinterest.:rotfl:0

I'm 56, and I really don't think you can say you 'shop' anywhere in particular. You just have to look with an open mind and buy when you see something that works for you.
I've bought (in the last 6 months or so) at everywhere from Primark to Vivienne Westwood via M&S and Debenhams and our little one-off boutique up the road from us.
Highlights include - grey jeans from River Island, posh frock from Viv Westwood, top (to go with the jeans) from M&S, jacket from Mountain Warehouse, shoes (to go with the posh frock) from Boundary Mills.
Until 10 years ago I was a size 8 - trying to find grown-up clothes in 'tall and skinny' sizes was a nightmare. Which is ironic, because that's what all the magazines would lead you to believe is the ideal shape.
I'm a size 10 now, thank goodness, so my choices have increased. Still can't always find what I want though...No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...0 -

If you buy online from places like brand alley or even eBay, all these brands are cheaper than M&S prices which was the bench mark you gave in your OP.
I don't think Cos is more expensive than next for equivalent clothes anyway. I bought 2 pairs of summer trousers and 2 tops in Cos before I went on holiday and definitely had significant change from £1000 -
You might find yourself in luck.OneYorkshireLass wrote: »Sorry, was not meaning to insult anyone ... I also still find clothes in the likes of Primark, New Look etc, but find that nowadays those stores are for the teens/20-somethings who want slashes, rips, plunging necklines etc ...!

In our local Age UK, they have (had?) some brand new Ted Baker (which is a brand not mentioned so far) items, always in small sizes.
2 quotes from the 'charity shop bargain' thread dated July 2017:Went into Age UK in Nantwich, next to B&M's In Swine Market, yesterday. Lady on the till was telling customers that they get a delivery of brand new, some with tags, Ted Baker clothes which they put out on the 1st of every month. She said you have to get there 9am prompt because they sell like hot cakes. Hope this helps someone. It's been mentioned before, in my Age Concern shop they tend to have only small sizes and can only have a few items out at any one time.
A good reminder though for anyone looking for a bargain.
Other posters have also mentioned it so it's possibly country-wide.
If I remember, I'll have a look in my local Age UK next time I go into town.0 -
EBay's well worth a look. You can get clothes on there, new with tags, for a fraction of the price that they sell for in the shops. Personally I like FatFace and WhiteStuff, but each to their own. Per Una and M&S are a bit too granny for my liking, though they often do good nightwear.0

So is my wife. I have just had to convert a spare bedroom into walk in wardrobe, shoe store and dressing room. She also has a wardrobe and a chest-of-drawers in our bedroom.
Size 6 clothes can't be that hard to find.0
