I’m pleased you got out and about a bit to meet family at half term even though it was a tad wet and windy.
Good luck tomorrow with the difficult class....it’s funny how classes can vary so much - the dynamics really do make a difference.
Congratulations on the 3 years of being debt free 👏👏👏January spends - £587.586 -
Hope the 'difficult' class isn't too difficult tomorrow...If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Thanks everyone 🙂. The difficult class were quite settled today (for them) and I managed to persuade the boy with learning difficulties to do ALL of his work so I felt pleased with myself 😁 (he did pour water on his desk and in his lego box, and try to cut up his chalk with scissors 😱, but that's quite well-behaved for him as he did much worse things before half-term 🤣). A boy in the class had accidentally done about twenty sums in the book of the girl who sits next to him instead of in his own book 🙄 and while I was rubbing them out I asked her where she had been all that time and she said in the toilet 🙄. Give me strength 🙄.
It was sunny ☀️ but cold at lunchtime so it was quite pleasant outside with my lovely lunchtime class. I wore my warmest coat, fingerless gloves and sunglasses, which is a strange combination 🧤🕶😎.
After school I went to Mr M to stock up on some staples before the panic buyers empty the shelves. They are limiting antibac wipes, sprays and toilet paper in there, but I don't know if anything else has been limited. There were some empty shelves as most of the cheap pasta sauces had gone and I couldn't get any wholewheat pasta, so the panic buying has clearly started 😡. It was really busy with much longer queues than usual.
I caused a bit of a kerfuffle by asking for my 10% school discount. The cashier asked if I was a teacher and I said no a meal time assistant but the email said anyone who works in a school can get the discount. She said she had to check as she hadn't been told. She asked four different staff before she found one that knew the answer 🙄. She said I had to show additional id as well as my school id, so it's lucky I had my Citizencard on me as I don't have a driving license. Anyway I finally got my school discount so my shopping went down from £59 to £53 🎉🎉🎉.
My feet are hurting now so I'm glad I can sit down for a bit and relax. It should be sunny for the next few days so that will make playground duty more pleasant.
I hope everyone is having a good Tuesday ☀️ .

Really glad you got your discount, HHoD & that the class wasn't as troublesome as they were last time. I think I must have an enquiring mind like that young lad because when I read about him trying to cut up his chalk with scissors, I found myself wondering 'Do scissors cut chalk?' 'Would it cleanly cut in two or would it flake everywhere?' i smiled at the sums in the wrong book. If I'd come back from tge toilet & found all those sums done in my book, I'd have wanted to keep them! (but maths was never a strong subject for me, to be fair!)

It’s the same for me at Boots. I get a free eye test and VDU glasses courtesy of work. No one ever knows anything about it or has ever seen the forms before 😕 Had to laugh about the boy doing sums in the wrong book. How do you manage to keep a straight face 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

Forgot to add, why are people panic buying when they’ve been told time and time again there are plenty of stocks for everyone. Words fail me 😡I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6
