Hope the sun is shining over lunchtime for you - it’s beautiful here but a tad chilly.
The Celebratory visit to family sounds lovely - something to look forward to and it’ll be a lovely memory too.

  • Thanks Purplemum :). I know that sounds logical. It's just I know the way DH's mind works and if we spend the EF he may hustle less to get sales and then our EF will be gone forever as we'll never be able to afford another one.

HHOD I completely get where you're coming from with this, do what works for you. Hope you have a good day.

Hi HHD :) Hope you're settling back into your school routine OK. I can see both points of view about using/not using the EF. If your DH sees it as a safety net I would probably make noises to him about not dipping into it knowing that obviously it's there if you really need to.

Good to see you that you went to the doctor. Are you energy levels any better?

Also very pleased to see that you're going to be taking your own cans of coke to work with you. :T That means you're £1.80 up already this week because I have complete faith that you've kept this promise to yourself :D xx

Thanks both :). I do know how DH's mind works. He's not lazy but there are so many distractions when working from home and if he's not desperate for money he can take his foot off the gas sometimes.

I forgot to take my coke yesterday TF2 :o. But I did take it today and so saved 90p :T. Although I forgot to put it in the fridge so it was tepid :rotfl:.

I think my energy levels are a bit better but my cold has gone. Maybe the veg is helping too.

  • I did my lunchtime job in the rain, but at least it wasn't bad enough to be indoor play.

I came home after that as the school timetable has been tweaked and so I was needed more badly tomorrow afternoon rather than this afternoon. I would have been useful this afternoon too, but I'm going to be at school all day tomorrow for no pay (apart from lunchtime ) and that would have only left me with Thursday afternoon to work on my assignment. So I didn't volunteer to stay this afternoon but I've been feeling guilty ever since :(. I know I shouldn't feel guilty as I only get paid for lunchtimes and Mondays and Fridays (atm) and everything else I do is voluntary, but I can't seem to help it.

However on the plus side I spent three hours this afternoon working on my new assignment and I've got over 2,000 words done :). I still feel guilty about not staying though :o.

I have a big bruise on my arm from the blood tests this morning, but at least the nurse found a vein straightaway so I'm not a pin cushion :rotfl:.

I remembered to take a can of coke with me so I saved 90p today :money:. I must keep this up.

I’m glad you have had the blood tests taken - I’m guessing the results will be a couple of weeks.
Well done on the veg intake. I’m lucky that I love veg (but love everything else too) My favourite has to be carrots cut into batons with a bit of frylite or butter salt and pepper with a teaspoon of honey drizzled over and baked in the oven in foil so they steam in their own juice. Stir fry sprouts with bacon and chestnuts are a fave too - but I save them for special dinners :D
Pity about the rain at lunchtime - a beautiful clear cold day here.

  • Glad the blood tests are over and done with and hopefully you will get the results back soon.

Good going on the cokes - it's amazing how the savings mount up when you take your own food and drink into work. :A

Thanks Milann :). I do like veg but just couldn't be bothered to cook them recently. I think we're going to have rain all week .

Thanks SSG :). Hopefully there's nothing wrong but it doesn't hurt to check. The 90p a day was a waste of money.

  • Well another hectic day that didn't turn out how I expected!

Two TA's were off sick today so I was in a different class than I expected this morning and then two more TA's were missing this afternoon so I was in a different class again after lunch :rotfl:. The deputy head thanked me for being so flexible today :). I got very wet and cold at lunchtime as the rain was quite heavy, but nobody suggested going indoors so I kept quiet! I spent a lot of time doing up coats for children though and telling them to put their hoods up so they didn't look like drowned rats. After the children ate however they did go indoors but there was only ten minutes left by then. Then I walked home in the rain. I feel like I'm still warming up even though I've been home for an hour! I've got no idea what class I'll be in tomorrow morning, I'll find out when I get there :rotfl:.

I'm sick to death of rain but I think it's going to rain all week . I saved 90p by taking in a coke from home and putting it in the staffroom fridge, so today was another NSD for me :money:.

I hope everyone is having a good Wednesday and is less soggy and cold than I am.

Are you provided with coats HHD? The staff in reception were because the children could go in and out pretty much as they pleased and I know the lunchtime staff were. Although they were more waterproof than warm thinking about it.

Did you work all day volunteering or was it paid? Honestly, I really think you'd be top of the list if a vacancy ever came up because you're so adaptable.

Well done on remembering the coke and putting it in the fridge. Those 90p's will really start to add up and even if you forget the odd time it's better than buying one every day.

All this talk of rain has reminded me to ask if your DS g0t the roof leak sorted out? I hope he's not still sleeping on the sofa :o xx
