Having visited Germany a few times recently, I found their properties nice to stay in for a week via airBNB, but I would not have spent what I did on my urban terraced house in the UK to live in a grey square in a gigantic block of other grey squares. You're obviously the same poster (can't remember you're previous username) who I've advised previously to stop embarrassing yourself with your bizarre, constant obsession with HPC.
I can only guess at how precarious you're own personal circumstances must be that makes the thought of anything other than never ending, policy driven, rampant house price inflation such a terrifying and abhorrent prospect for you

The "baby boomers" who have stolen housing stock from the current generation should be invoiced for their Right to Buy gains.
It's awful the way that generation has appropriated the housing stock for their own financial gains.
I see this blaming the baby boomers a lot. It comes from people who want someone to blame. People who are buying under Right to Buy are not baby boomers. Baby boomers are now reaching retirement they wouldn't get a mortgage. However the biggest problem that you have with that argument is that a property that has someone living in it is not available for purchase. So whether that property is rented or belonging to the council or owner occupied it is not available for someone to buy.
Everyone has to have somewhere to live. Baby boomers born after the war are reaching retirement age but if they were living in a council house then that house would still be occupied not available for anyone else so would any bought house or any rented house. I think what you may be doing is confusing one section of the population with the fact that house building hasn't kept up with the increase in the overall population of the UK, the rise in divorce rates, and people living longer.
A couple living together in one property get divorced and then need two properties. I notice that you haven't blamed the rise in divorce rates for taking housing stock?0
