new Super 6 for 49p each from Thursday 27th August to 9th September.

    Mini pears (5 pk)
    Mini bananas (7 pk)
    Mini apples (6 pk)
    Baby plum tomatoes (325g)
    Sugar snap peas (160g)
    Snack pack grapes (170g)
Glad I popped in last night then, the current offers are much better for grown ups. The plum variety is Larry Anne, it will be at least the weekend before they ripen and I have a taste. Anyone tried them yet?

I find the mini versions and snack pack size to be poor value when compared with the full size versions.

I had those plums at the weekend past, they went from hard to fully ripe in one night then to mushy the night after.
    Taste was a bit bleagh.

Peaches/ Nectarines/ plums all starting to show the problems caused by the high temps in Spain/ Portugal last 4/6 weeks. Very few of the commercial varieties will eat with juice content.
Start to go woolly internally as they ripen.

This is such a shame, the soft fruit we've had so far has just been a joy to eat and one of the best things about this summer - we've missed out on a lot in 2020 but thank goodness not all the good things in life! The plums I bought from Lidl the other week were like nectar, just divine.

My experience was different, when they ripened they were fragrant and juicy so perhaps I got lucky? Not impressed with the Asda ones I bought the other day, they are still as hard as golf balls.

I cannot buy figs after buying some in Malta years ago, when I got home they were full of maggots.
Do I need it or just want it.

I'm the same, gone right off buying them even though they'd be for the parrot.
